人視網(wǎng)膜色素上皮細(xì)胞(HRPEpiC)提取于人視網(wǎng)膜組織，于第一代凍存。
人視網(wǎng)膜是由位于眼睛后部多層結(jié)構(gòu)組成的。它包括視細(xì)胞和視網(wǎng)膜色素上皮細(xì)胞（RPE），視網(wǎng)膜色素細(xì)胞通過(guò)提供營(yíng)養(yǎng)和代謝廢物來(lái)滋養(yǎng)視網(wǎng)膜。RPE位于神經(jīng)視網(wǎng)膜和脈絡(luò)膜之間，成為血視網(wǎng)膜屏障的外層控制著視網(wǎng)膜下間隙的化學(xué)成分，人們發(fā)現(xiàn)RPE在許多蛋白質(zhì)的極性方面不同于其他上皮細(xì)胞。幾乎所有的上皮細(xì)胞的頂生面都沒(méi)有基質(zhì)，而RPE的頂生面胞膜是與細(xì)胞外基質(zhì)相接觸的。在早期胚胎發(fā)育過(guò)程中，RPE自發(fā)轉(zhuǎn)分化為神經(jīng)視網(wǎng)膜組織，RPE在其鄰近的光感受器的發(fā)育和維持中有著重要的作用，光照條件下RPE能產(chǎn)生大量的活性氧，RPE的增殖也是許多眼病發(fā)病過(guò)程中重要的一步，如增殖性視網(wǎng)膜病變。
人視網(wǎng)膜色素上皮細(xì)胞(HRPEpiC)提取于人視網(wǎng)膜組織，于第一代凍存。每管含有細(xì)胞數(shù)>5×105cells/ml，此細(xì)胞通過(guò)Cytokeratin-18, Cytokeratin-19 and Fibronectin免疫熒光染色驗(yàn)證，經(jīng)測(cè)試不含有HIV-1、HBV、HCV、支原體、細(xì)菌、酵母和真菌。細(xì)胞可以達(dá)到15倍增。

The human retina is a multi-layered structure lining the rear of theeye. It consists of photoreceptor cells and retinal pigment epithelialcells (RPE) which nurse the retina by feeding it nutrients and takingaway waste products. RPE situated between the neurosensory retina andthe choroid, form the outer blood-retina barrier that controls thechemical composition of the subretinal space. RPE has long beenrecognized to differ from many other epithelia in the polarity of anumber of proteins and whereas almost all other epithelia face an apicallumen devoid of matrix, the RPE apical plasma membrane is in contactwith the extracellular matrix. During early embryonic development, RPEspontaneously transdifferentiate into neural retinal tissue. RPE play acritical role in the development and maintenance of adjacentphotoreceptors. They generate a number of reactive oxygen species whenilluminated with light and their proliferation is an important step inthe pathogenesis of ocular diseases such as proliferative retinopathy.
HRPEpiC from ScienCell Research Laboratories are isolated from humanretina. HRPEpiC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen.Each vial contains >5 x 105 cells in 1 ml volume. HRPEpiC arecharacterized by immunofluorescent method with antibodies tocytokeratin-18, cytokeratin-19 and fibronectin. HRPEpiC are negative forHIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi. HRPEpiC areguaranteed to further expand for 15 population doublings in theconditions provided by ScienCell Research Laboratories.
